Raki found yoga in 1997 after studying gymnastics and dance throughout her youth.
Her practice has a strong focus on breath, connecting with the body, and moving from the heart.
She believes in the power of humility and of letting go of that which doesn’t serve the spirit, in order to deepen the connection to the truest self, to be the best people we can be in the world.
Raki has completed a number of Vipassana meditation retreats, has trained with Ana Lunaria, Joseph Le Page through Integrative Yoga Therapy, and at the Naropa Institute with various yoga and meditation practitioners.
She has taught Iyengar inspired hatha yoga, vinyasa flow, partner yoga, restorative yoga, and has led sitting and walking meditation at various yoga studios, in community centers, women’s shelters, and prisons. She has found her greatest teachers to be her students.
